If you are reading this right now, you are sharing with me something precious - your time, Thank you :)

One important aspect of life that I keep striving to become better at is “Decision Making”.

I have stalled making decisions at various points in life. It had been for various reasons: lack of background knowledge, lack of passion, lack of self-awareness, lack of guidance, but most significant of all were the two: lack of COURAGE and fear of REGRET.

The courage to be ready to face the outcomes of the decision.

And the regret if the decision turns out to be bad.

Since when I was a kid, most of the decisions of my life were pre-decided or my parents almost always walked me through it.

When adulting slowly started to kick in and when I had to make decisions, I started to look around for answers. For every simple decision I tried looking up straightforward solutions, I wanted to hear from people if they had something relatable.

I yearned for simple signs of acknowledgments at every stage to check if I am progressing in the right way, or more specifically, in the “usual way”.

I kept searching for examples in the real life that could match my situations and troubles to make it easier for me to bypass them in the same way they did. In simpler terms, I was hoping for book-back answers to my life’s challenges.

Now that I am almost 22 and have made a few decisions (right, wrong, best, worst - all that comes later), I realized a few things:

Decide when you still have the choice.
No decision is good or bad. If it appears to be bad, now is the time to make another decision to make it better.
Do not criticize your old self for the decision made, because you are not in the same shoes anymore.

That said, why this blog now?

This blog would serve the following purposes:

  • Documentation of a few decisions that I made in life and my learnings from it

  • Documentation of few experiences worth sharing

  • A record of my maturity and growth of decision-making ability.

  • A go-to for those who need to feel like they are “being on the same boat”.

  • Things that I do/did and how it worked/didn’t work for me

It is not a handbook on how to make the right decisions or decisions right, just words from a relatable friend.

I would be “happiest” to know even if a phrase from these blogs made someone’s day.
